Light of our lives...
Deepavali this year was a happy enough time. We spend the weekend with the same friends we spent the cabin home getaway with, and it was a wonderful, warm, happy time. Kodi's Mom had left behind a packet of crackers and little smoke bombs before she moved, and we took that along. It was the first real time the boys had held sparklers in their hands, and they were quite riveted. In a while, the smell of the burning sparklers wafted up to our noses and what an inviting, warm smell it was....full with the weight of brighter memories from the years past. A wonderful moment!
Come Monday, and the boys donned new clothes. True, the supreme thrill of wearing new store bought clothes was distinctly missing...but we have to make do with whatever customs we can manage to carry forth. They were also very eager to be kind for the camera and indulged me in all the ways I asked for. And out of some 100 shots, some 3-4 really stole the show for the beautiful feelings they conveyed. I used 2 of them for this header.
And with Diwali done, the Halloween fever is now on. Halloween also marks another year we have completed in this home of ours. That makes it 4 till date. Time has wings...there is no doubt about that!
