Post orientation...
We just got done with the orientation. It was quite a breeze and terrifically exciting. Winkie was all keyed up and rather quiet and contained, which is what he does when he is taking it all in. He learnt about which room was his, where his seat was, where he was to hang his bag, where to find his gym shoes etc. I sorted out all the supplies while R held onto a rather loud Thambi, who also seemed excited. We took a picture with his teacher and outside his classroom, and one outside the school building. We took a tour of the building and it seemed like such a big one for such a little guy who was used to being in a basement, but I am sure we will all get used to it pretty soon. Orientation is done and tomorrow he starts school, properly. It can't get more exciting than this!

What fun! All the best to Winkie.
Can't wait to hear how his first day at school went.
time for an update..time for an update
Hi T..eppadi iruka? I can see that you have settled in well..:) how did the school go?
this is exciting! good luck to Akhil! and my best to you!
i know i'll be tying myself up in knots when Ana has to go to school for real in a couple of years... we always think so highly of our children and know how wonderful they are but all that sort of feeds the fear we develop over them getting lost in the huge classrooms where they are just one of many... and, more than Ana, I think my heart would sink if the teacher treated her as "just another kid" in the class...
i wonder if my mom went thru such agonizing thoughts over sending me and my brother to school...
Congratulations and much good luck to dearest Winkie as he embarks on one of the greatest journeys of his lifetime - education. Wishing him many many successes throughout!
Waiting to hear about how he's liking it :)
